  • Select the design file from your computer.

The system will automatically load your file into the editing tool.

Any file is acceptable - DWG, PDF, JPEG, PNG, etc. Simply ensure the quality of the design is up to your standard.

  • Ensure the Magnet icon (AKA Toggle Snap) is off/deactivated.

An activated Magnet tool keeps your lines at 90-degree angles, which is not desirable when cropping rounded object.

An activated Magnet icon will have lightning bolts coming from each tip.

If you uploaded the wrong file, click on the Upload icon in the green toolbar to the right of the floor plan to reselect a file.

  • Zoom in to the design if necessary, and click as close as possible to the edge of the design.

Use the magnifier near the bottom left corner of the screen as a guide for higher accuracy of cropping and scaling. In the center of the magnifier is a small grey dot, which stays stationary as you move your mouse. Position your mouse so that the grey dot  in the middle of the magnifier is as close to the point of the corner as possible.

  • Follow the outline of the design, being sure to click on the edge of the design frequently.

The more nodes you create as you outline your design, the more curved your cropping will become.

  • End the outline by clicking on the first bubble you created.
  • Make any final edits to the outline by clicking and dragging any of the bubbles so that they sit as close as possible to the edge of the design.

Move the small node in between two larger notes to create another line segment. Doing this can help ensure tighter cropping around curved edges.

  • If applicable and desired, click on the black oblong shape associated with the front of the design to indicate which side is the front.

  • Type the length in the length bubble that sits in the middle of the line just created.
