This article will guide you through the process of moving and aligning the lot boundary, as well as adjusting the locations of existing structures to ensure they are properly matched with the satellite imagery.
The boundary data for each property address is sourced from the digital mapping atlas of the respective state or region. However, since the satellite imagery may be provided by a different third-party vendor or captured at an angle, you might notice that the boundary does not perfectly align when you first access the site. You can easily adjust this by following the steps below.

- Left-click & hold the large white dots and drag to the correct position.
- Left-click on the small white dots to add additional corner points.

Once all the large dots are in the correct position, you can add more nodes by clicking the small white dots.
- Continue the process until complete.
- To confirm the updates, click on the Spanner icon or anywhere on the screen other than the white dots.
Add an Easement
While Canibuild tries to obtain all overlay data for easements on a property, some data may not be available. With this feature, you can easily add easements manually.

- Click Enable Easement.
- Click Add Easement on the specific boundary.
- Enter Easement Name.

- Click Delete.
Edit Boundary Dimensions
While this option is the easiest, it only changes the displayed measurements on the boundary. The live scale measurements on the property will remain the same.
- Click the Gear on the boundary.
- Click Edit.
- Click Primary to alternate.
- Click on the boundary measurement to edit.
- Click on the circular arrow to undo the change.
- Select the Gear tool when done to lock in the changes.
Edit Segments
Most parcel segments are typically defined accurately, which ensures that setbacks are appropriately reflected when a design is applied to the property. However, in certain instances, irregularly shaped lots may not be defined correctly, or adjustments to the frontage may be necessary to better accommodate the intended build.
- Click the Gear on the boundary.
- Click Edit Segment Type.
- Select Segment for each boundary.
- Click Save.
