This article will walk you through the various methods available for editing a property boundary — from adjusting existing measurements to completely redrawing the lot layout as needed.
Based on your objectives, you can use the different available options to either modify the displayed boundary measurements or adjust the entire lot.

Rotate - Click & hold to turn the lot 360 degrees in any direction. |

Edit Boundary Dimensions
While this option is the easiest, it only changes the displayed measurements on the boundary. The live scale measurements on the property will remain the same.
- Click the Gear on the Boundary.
- Click Edit.
- Click Primary to alternate.
- Click on the boundary measurement to edit.
- Click on the circular arrow to undo the change.
- Select the Gear tool when done to lock in the changes.
Edit Lot Dimensions

Click Draw a Parcel.

Select Edit Lot.
The property will highlight in white with a letter identifying each site & the Edit Lot panel will appear on the left.

Click & hold a boundary corner with the hand cursor to reposition.

Hover over a boundary line with the cross cursor to adjust it.

Update the Label.
The label can include a minor change such as a dot after the street number or add the word “Edit” to make it easily identifiable in the dashboard.

Click Save when complete.

Click Cancel to discard changes.
The edited site can be accessed via the Dashboard. This edited property is the primary search. The original lot can also be searched again if required. However, this will count as a new search.
Redraw Lot
This method works like the Polygon Drawing tool. This makes it easy to draw lots with 90° angles. With use of the Action box you can also mark in specific angles for better accuracy,

Search the property to be redrawn or subdivided.

Click Additional Info to turn off any extra site data.

Click Lookup Layers to turn off trees if necessary.
This example will be a simple subdivision that divides the property in half, featuring a driveway along the right side of the property. Using the Polygon Tool for this process is optional. However, it can simplify the task if you are uncertain about the approximate measurements of the site..
- Click Draw a Parcel.
- Click Draw lot.
- Select Click & Draw.
Click on the starting point on the property. If Snap is active each point should snap to a corner and each line will run parallel to the boundary. Press the enter key to highlight the dimension and enter an exact distance or use the Action Box to type a specific dimension.

Click on the Starting Point.

If Snap is active, each point will snap to a corner.

Press Enter to type an exact dimension or Type the Length in the Action Box.
- Click the starting point to close the boundary.
- Left-click to edit the proposed lot.
- Left click & hold on the Rotate button.
- Move your mouse to adjust the rotation.
- Click & hold with the hand cursor to drag the boundary corners to adjust.
- Hover with the cross arrow cursor on a boundary line and drag to the adjust.
You will not be able to rotate or resize the lot after making any adjustments on the left panel.

Edit the Label.

Identify each Boundary Type.
- Click Save when complete.
- Click the Delete to start again.
All boundary data & setbacks are now adjusted for the new lot.
The newly drawn site can be accessed via the Dashboard. This lot is the primary search. The original lot can also be searched again if required. However, this will count as a new search. (In this case it would be how you draw Lot 2).
