How can I Edit update or display setbacks

This article will show you how to turn the setbacks on & off to hide them. As well as how to swap between local and state rules if available or edit & add your own setback dimensions.

All of the property rules and setbacks are build type specific. This means there must be a design on the property for the setbacks to display.

Not all regions or build types will have both state & local setback rules loaded. If the rules on the site you visit are not up to date or missing you can send a request to the support team & and they will update them.

Specific rules for new Estates/Subdivisions/Communities can be added on request.

Toggle Setbacks On or Off

  • Click the Additional Info icon on the main toolbar.
  • Deselect the Setbacks option.

Edit the Rules

  • Click Choose Design.

  • Select Rules.
  • If available choose from State or Local rules.

  • To Edit select the Pencil Icon.
  • Enter the new setback distances.
  • Click Save when finished.
  • Click Cancel to start over.

The changes will only remain in affect while you are on the property. Unless you check the box to make permanent.

  • Click Yes to Save.
  • Click No to Cancel.

Edit Property - Opens the edit options for the boundary.
Edit - Unlocks the measurements on the boundary for editing.
Edit Segment Types - Unlocks the boundary segments to identify Front, Side & Rear. It also allows you to swap from primary to secondary frontage on a corner block.

Sometimes if there is no house on the property or no digital outline where the house should be the setbacks might not work correctly as they need the front setback from the house to be define.

  • Place a House design on the property.
  • Draw a Polygon & Tag it as House
  • Select the Rules tab.
  • View the complete rules.

If the setbacks don't show up at all this could be because the boundary segments for Front, Side & Rear are not define.

  • Click the Wrench / Spanner on the boundary.
  • Select Edit.
  • Select Edit Segment Type.

  • Identify Front, Side & Rear.
  • Click the Spanner / Wrench to lock the boundary.
