How to Easily Draw a Lot

This article aims show you how to use Upload Trace method. This is the quickest & easiest method of Drawing a Parcel.

The Upload Trace Method requires a PDF or JPEG/PNG image of the property and involves tracing & scaling the plan in a manner similar to the Design Upload process. Once completed, the parcel can be positioned anywhere on the site. While the angles will be accurately represented, the boundary lengths may vary slightly by a few decimal places.

    Delete - Removes the proposed lot.
    Rotate - Click & hold to turn the lot 360 degrees in any direction.
     
    • Search the property to be redrawn or subdivided.
    • Click Additional Info to turn off any extra site data.
    • Click Lookup Layers to turn off trees if necessary. 

    This example incorporates a lot from the next phase of the subdivision. It is essential to have a survey that is drawn to scale with accurate lot dimensions.

      • Click Draw a Parcel.

      • Click Draw lot.
      • Select Upload Trace.

      This will open your file manager. Select the correct document. The file format can be PDF or JPEG / PNG image files.

      • Click the Upload Trace button to change the file.

      • Use the page selector if needed.

      • Click Cancel to restart.

      • Click each corner point of the lot to trace it.

      • Click the last point to close the shape.

      • Click to draw a straight line between two known points.
      • Enter the distance to scale.
      • Click Rescale to clear the line.
      • Click Cancel to restart.
      • Click Done to Save the scaling process.

      • Drag the traced lot into position.

      • Left click on the final position.
      • Click the Tick to save.

      • Left click & hold on the Rotate button.
      • Move your mouse to adjust the rotation.
      • Click Delete to clear the lot.

      • Edit the label. 
      • Select the Segment Type.
      • Edit the Lengths slightly for better accuracy.

      • Click Save when complete.
      • Click Cancel to discard changes.

      The newly drawn site can be accessed via the Dashboard. This lot is the primary search. The original lot can also be searched again if required. However, this will count as a new search.
